  1. I adore Easter Biscuits and always have some cassia oil in the storecupboard . My family came from the North East to live in Bristol when I was a child, and our neighbours introduced us to them the first Eastertime we were living there. Unforgettable, delicious. I’ve never found any for sale in shops since marrying a Yorkshireman and living in that county for decades. However, my Easter biscuits fill the house with that wonderful aroma, and the unmistakeable crumble of a just perfectly baked biscuit with that slight give in the centre and the taste of those fruits dotted around in the mix… funny how they always disappear like mist in sunlight isn’t it?
